Who is responsible

This site is operated by Ansh Punia, an independent AI and systems builder based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. ABN 53 707 845 342. For anything on this page, contact admin@anshpunia.com.

What is collected by default

Nothing that identifies you. Visiting and reading this site sets no analytics cookies and sends no data about you anywhere. Analytics stay switched off until you choose “Accept” on the consent banner.

If you accept analytics

Choosing “Accept” enables Google Analytics 4, which records which pages are viewed, roughly where in the world the visit came from, and which type of device and browser was used. It is used to understand which pages are useful, nothing more.

Advertising signals are refused permanently and are not something the banner can turn on: ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization are set to “denied” before Google Analytics loads, on every visit, whatever you choose. This site does not run ads, build advertising audiences, or sell or share data with anyone.

Choosing “Decline” means analytics never load. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which brings the banner back.

If you use the contact form

The form sends the name, email address and message you type to my inbox, delivered through Resend, an email delivery service. That information is used to reply to you and to carry out any work that follows. It is not added to a mailing list and is not passed to anyone else.

To stop automated abuse, your IP address is checked against recent submissions at the moment you press send, limiting each address to five messages an hour. That check happens in memory and the address is not written to any log or database of mine.

What is stored in your browser

Two values, both of which stay on your device and are never transmitted:

• ansh-consent — whether you accepted or declined analytics, so the banner does not ask again.
• ansh-theme — whether you chose the light or dark appearance.

If you accept analytics, Google Analytics also sets its own cookies to count a visit as one session. Declining means those are never set.

Others who process data

• Google Analytics 4 — page analytics, only after you accept.
• Resend — delivers contact form messages to my inbox.
• The web host — keeps standard server logs of requests, as every web server does, for security and fault diagnosis.

How long anything is kept

Enquiries and project correspondence are kept while the work is live and afterwards for as long as Australian tax and business records require, then deleted. Analytics data is retained by Google on the standard retention period for the property. Browser storage stays until you clear it.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles you can ask what personal information I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email admin@anshpunia.com and I will respond within a reasonable time, normally within a few days. If you are not satisfied with how I have handled a privacy matter, you can raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

If what this site does with data changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated.
